Sails of the Spirit in Kyrgyzstan
Location: Orbita Base, Lake Issyk-Kul

In Kyrgyzstan, we combine the energy of ancient nomadic culture with a bold vision for decades ahead. First, a large creative laboratory where participants together develop useful ideas and projects for real people and regions. Then, a venture into the city, live communication, a regatta, and a shared celebration.

How the days will unfold
24 August – 5 September — Camp at Lake Issyk-Kul
Most of the time is dedicated to collaborative creativity. We will create workable initiatives that can later turn into real projects for Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and our wider movement. You will also have sailing and rowing training sessions, as well as an excursion day.
2 September — Participation in the World Nomad Games
An inclusive sailing regatta involving people with disabilities from different countries, including sitting parliamentarians. Open meetings for students, where we will talk about unlocking hidden talents and the ability to look far ahead.
3 September — Extrability Day at Lake Issyk-Kul
A large open day organised by the participants and the project team. Sports activities on the shore, a series of workshops led by Sails of the Spirit participants and invited partners, a concert featuring people of all abilities. Celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Sails of the Spirit project together with the Rosatom State Corporation.

6–11 September — Laboratory at Lake Balkhash
A week of collaborative work at the preparatory hub of the cycle. We continue the creative workshop started in Kyrgyzstan: refining useful initiatives that will later be presented to the residents of Ülken. We take part in sailing and rowing training sessions and get to know the local culture.
10 September is a special point: Extrability Day, when the laboratory first presents the results of its work to the residents of Balkhash city.

We discuss the outcomes of the Kazakhstan stage, share experiences, and talk about how Sails of the Spirit will continue to grow — in Kazakhstan and internationally.

The route connects four ports, dozens of meetings, and hundreds of people.
