From October 15 to November 1, 2025, Turkey will host a unique international event—the "Sails of the Spirit 2025" project, organized by the White Cane NGO with the support of the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom", the Federal Agency "Rossotrudnichestvo", and the "Medscan" group of companies. The format combines a sailing expedition, festivals, and intercultural dialogue.
This year, "Sails of the Spirit" will be held in Trabzon for the first time and, for the second time, will connect the shores of the Black and Mediterranean Seas. The project involves representatives from eight countries: Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Iran, Germany, and Croatia.
The project's goal is to form an international Extrability-business community where mutual enrichment becomes the driving mechanism for sustainable partnerships.
"Sails of the Spirit" creates a space where entrepreneurs, social leaders, educators, doctors, musicians, and students from different countries share experiences, culture, and ideas. Through cooperate sea passages, masterclasses, festivals, and informal meetings, participants create a network of partnerships based on trust and respect for the diversity of human potential.
The journey begins in Trabzon, where the Days of Extrability will be held on October 15 and 16. The program will include a meeting with representatives of local non-governmental organizations, the Russian Language Department of Trabzon University, the Russian Consulate, as well as a seminar "Sails of the Spirit as a Platform for International Interaction" and a project presentation. This will lay the symbolic starting point for new international cooperation. The next day, participants will be able to demonstrate their Extrability during masterclasses on yachts and on shore.
This will be followed by the sea passage from Marmaris to Antalya, where team members will take part in house concerts on yachts and get acquainted with Turkish culture through training and joint sailing.
On October 21, participants will gather in Antalya for master classes, cultural activities, a meeting with respected seniors, and an inclusive regatta at Setur Antalya Marina. During these days, the team will visit the largest rehabilitation center "Mukaddes Aksoy," meet its specialists and learn about its social integration programs.
From October 25 to 28, the Extrability Festival will take place in Mersin. For the first time, it will begin in the city center, with subsequent days continuing in Tarsus. The program includes visits to rehabilitation organizations in Mersin, an Extrability Day at Tarsus University, and master classes on inclusive sailing from professionals of "Sails of the Spirit."
Key participants and partners of the expedition include:
They will be joined by students from Tarsus University and young activists from various countries, representing the new generation of the international Extrability Movement.
Traditionally, the expedition will be led by Oleg Kolpashchikov, President of the "White Cane" NGO and head of the project "Sails of the Spirit: Movement Towards Mutual Enrichment" in Turkey will be the finale of the project's 2025 season, which has already taken place in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and five Russian cities hosting nuclear power plants.
