September 16, 2026 — The Croatian stage of the international inclusive project "Sails of the Spirit: Extrability Movement. We Choose to Continue" is launching in Croatia. From September 19 to 25, 2026, the expedition will bring together about 20 participants from Croatia, Slovenia, and Russia. Mixed crews on two 39-foot sailing yachts will follow a scenic route across the Adriatic Sea.
Cultural Program and Sea Route
The stage program will open on September 19 in the ancient city of Pula. Participants will take a city tour and visit the famous Roman Amphitheater—a unique monument of ancient architecture that still functions and is used for its original purpose.
From September 20 to 25, the "Sails of the Spirit" team will head out into the open sea. The sailing route will run from the city of Pula through the islands of Mali Lošinj and Krk, arriving in the city of Rijeka. In Rijeka, the team will host an inclusive festival where participants will demonstrate the values of the Extrability Movement, conduct creative and practical master classes, and exchange socio-cultural experiences with local residents. After completing the program in Rijeka, the sailing vessels will return to the port of Pula.
Participants and International Cooperation
The crews will include people with and without disabilities from Croatia, Slovenia, and Russia. Under the conditions of the sea passage, participants will operate sailing yachts on an equal footing, master seamanship, and practice team interaction skills.
Following the completion of the maritime regatta and festival program, 5 participants from Russia will embark on a study tour along a route through Slovenia, Trieste, and Venice, continuing to strengthen international cultural ties.
About the "Extrability" Movement and White Cane ANO
"Sails of the Spirit" is an international project where people with and without disabilities participate together in sailing expeditions, sports and creative programs, learn to work in mixed teams, and launch their own initiatives upon returning home. Since 2011, the project has grown from a single expedition into a large international movement. Since 2016, the project has been developing with the support of the Rosatom State Corporation. During this time, project participants have visited 16 countries, held 5 international routes, 46 regattas and sailing/rowing competitions, 50 Extrability Days, and 7 inclusive camps in 47 cities. In 2026, the anniversary season of the project is taking place in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey.
