A New Stage of the International Inclusive Expedition "Sails of the Spirit – 2026: Extrability Movement. We Choose to Continue" Launches in Kazakhstan

2026-09-25 22:06
The program in Kazakhstan is aimed at unlocking the hidden abilities of people with and without disabilities (the Extrability concept) through teamwork in inclusive crews on the water and participation in social practices.
The importance of holding the international inclusive route in the republic and the significance of the Extrability movement is emphasized by Dastan Bekeshev, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh:
"Projects like 'Sails of the Spirit' truly unite us, because representatives of different countries gather under this flag. Not only people with visual or musculoskeletal impairments participate on an equal footing in the team, but also participants without health restrictions – which speaks to genuine, real inclusiveness. In my view, at the legislative level, it is necessary to provide systematic support for such initiatives. These are wonderful practices that need to be spread and multiplied: they strengthen international friendship and make us stronger when we implement them together."

Key Events of the Stage in Kazakhstan:

  • September 5–9 – Opening of the inclusive sailing camp on Lake Balkhash, training and practice sessions on sailing trimarans and rowing catamarans, practicing interaction in inclusive crews, and trainings under the "Burnout – No" program.
  • September 10 – Extrability Day in the city of Balkhash: an inclusive concert, sports activities, and master classes in sailing and rowing with the participation of citizens and guests.
