On September 3, the base of the International Inclusive Camp "Sails of the Spirit 2026: Extrability Movement. We Choose to Continue" in Kyrgyzstan hosted Extrability Day with the support of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. On this day, the camp welcomed more than 75 guests – participants from Bishkek and other cities of Kyrgyzstan.
The day began with sports and training water activities – trial runs on trimarans and catamarans in inclusive crews.
For the guests, the team prepared master classes: "Journey Between Worlds," "Marine Knot Tying," and "Plasticineography," as well as partner master classes. The core camp team conducted activities, and the Zabaykalsky team joined as leaders, co-leaders, and assistants, presenting elements of the "Burnout – No" program. The exchange of practices with guests and partners continued throughout the day.
"On Extrability Day, I was very impressed by the master class on creating straw paintings. Since this is my second time participating in 'Sails of the Spirit,' I am well familiar with the project formats. As a music teacher, I especially remember the harmonious two-part duets of Olga and Tatyana. From the bottom of my heart, I wish the organizers and everyone involved in the project inspiration, more creative ideas, and, of course, patience and energy!" – shares visually impaired project participant and music teacher Nazgul Chynarbek kyzy.
The culmination of the day was an inclusive concert and the celebration of the anniversary of the "Sails of the Spirit" project. In the evening, the team gathered for reflection – summarizing the results of the public day, discussing emerging roles, continuation ideas, and partnership contacts.
About the "Extrability" Movement and White Cane ANO
"Sails of the Spirit" is an international project where people with and without disabilities participate together in sailing expeditions, sports and creative programs, learn to work in mixed teams, and launch their own initiatives upon returning home. Since 2011, the project has grown from a single expedition into a large international movement. Since 2016, the project has been developing with the support of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. During this time, project participants have visited 16 countries, held 5 international routes, 46 regattas and sailing/rowing competitions, 50 Extrability Days, and 7 inclusive camps in 47 cities. In 2026, the anniversary season of the project is taking place in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey.
The Kyrgyz Republic has become an important growth point for the project in Central Asia. The first stage on Issyk-Kul in 2025 showed that this format is in demand by people with disabilities, volunteers, public organizations, and local partners.
