Extrability Day Held in the Village of Ulken (Kazakhstan)

On September 15, Extrability Day was held in the village of Ulken (Kazakhstan) – the central socio-cultural and sports event within the framework of the international inclusive sailing camp stage "Sails of the Spirit: Extrability Movement. We Choose to Continue" with the support of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. The event brought together international expedition participants, local residents, and guests of the region to develop inclusive culture, sailing, and creative interaction.
The main goal of Extrability Day was to demonstrate and develop Extrability – additional abilities and skills that develop in people with disabilities through successful socialization and active involvement in teamwork.
The program of Extrability Day in the village of Ulken included:
  • Sports and sailing master classes: A demonstration of skills in handling sailing trimarans and rowing catamarans by inclusive crews took place.
  • Interactive and educational platforms: Extrability games, master classes from the project team and partners, team activities, and rope games were organized.
  • Inclusive concert: Joint creative performances by expedition participants and local residents, combining music, poetry, and storytelling elements, took place.
  • Celebration of the anniversary of the "Sails of the Spirit" project: Honoring the history of the development of the inclusive sailing movement and a festive evening variety show were held.
The Extrability Day events were attended by 25 members of the international team (including 10 participants with health limitations), as well as about 60 guests and residents of the village of Ulken.
